Bringing the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by walking in love, wherever we go.
Bringing the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by walking in love, wherever we go.
Gather - Equip - Go
We minister to the seniors, the sick, and those in the final stage of life. The mission is to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to others through gathering with hope, equipping through faith, and going out in love.
Every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and to know that they are seen, known and loved. Those who are aging, sick, and experiencing or preparing for loss often need this reminder even more.
Psalm 71:9 states, "And now, in my old age, don't set me aside. Don't abandon me when my strength is failing." Many people in their final stages of life feel lonely and forgotten. We want seniors and the sick to know that their life matters, that God has not forgotten them and neither have we. How do we do this? We GO where they are: assisted living facilities, skilled nursing homes, hospitals, independent living communities, and we bring faith, hope and love to them. This looks like church planting in senior homes, equipping the body of Christ for service, and participating in the ministry of compassionate presence--Because every person needs to be reminded that they have a purpose and there is hope in Jesus Christ.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” - 1 Corinthians 16:14
ABOUT ME
Christine Carson
Ahava Pathways Director & Pastor
I am California native, mother of 4, married to my high school sweetheart since 2004, an ambassador of God and an agent of hope. I love music, outdoors, hiking, travel, coffee, and new adventures. I see hearts in the most unsuspecting of places, and encourage others to seek them out, too!
I went to college to study Spanish, graduated with a BA in Spanish in 2004 with the desire to be a missionary! The Lord led me down a different pathway, and I ended up teaching middle school for 11 years. I have spent many years involved in ministry both with my local church and with other non-profit organizations, as well as engaging in many short-term mission outreaches. Ministry experiences led me to pursue a calling in pastoral care and to seek God's wisdom for all that the Bible teaches when it comes to the call of shepherding others well. I completed my MA in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis in community chaplaincy through Liberty University. I currently serve at a local hospital as a chaplain and as a pastor at local senior homes within the community and as Director of Ahava Pathways. I am passionate about equipping others to walk pathways of love and purpose to bring hope to a world so desperately in need of it.
I welcome opportunities to teach and share God's Word in a variety of settings (bible studies, small groups, church gatherings, etc.), to provide pastoral care and counsel, officiate funeral services, offer grief support, and develop discipleship and evangelism training for the body of Christ!
