Ahava Pathways exists to gather with hope, to equip through faith, and to walk in love bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to seniors, the sick, and those in the final stages of life.
Gather - Equip - Go
Our vision is to see lives Renewed by Hope, Growing through Faith, and Walking in Love.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and to know that they are seen, known and loved. Psalm 71:9 states, "And now, in my old age, don't set me aside. Don't abandon me when my strength is failing." Many people in their final stages of life are lonely and feel forgotten. We want seniors and the sick to know that their life matters, that God has not forgotten them and neither have we. Isaiah 46:4 states,
"Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (NIV).
What do we do? We go to senior homes, assisted living homes, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and other places to offer spiritual support and compassionate care. We train and equip disciples of Jesus to meet the spiritual, emotional and practical needs of others, whether through prayer, offering community church services, providing counsel, or simply through the ministry of presence.
"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:35
“Let all that you do be done in love.” - 1 Corinthians 16:14
“Therefore, go and make disciples...” - Matthew 28:18-20
Christine Carson
Ahava Pathways Pastor & Director
Christine is a California native, mother of 4, married to her high school sweetheart since 2004, an ambassador of God and an agent of hope. She loves music, outdoors, hiking, coffee, and new adventures. She sees hearts in the most unsuspecting of places, and encourages others to seek them out, too!
Christine went to college to study Spanish, ended up teaching middle school, and has spent many years involved in ministry both with her local church and with parqachruch organizations. She has completed her MA in Pastoral Counseling and is now working in full-time ministry, serving as a volunteer chaplain at a local hospital and as a pastor at local senior homes. Forever a disciple of Jesus, a teacher of the Word, a missionary sent out to bring the love of God to others, she is dedicated to equipping others to walk pathways of love and purpose.
Additionally, Christine welcomes opportunities to teach God's Word in a variety of settings, provide pastoral care and counsel, officiate funeral services, offer grief support, engage in discipleship and evangelism training for the body of Christ, and meet other practical needs in collaboration with the many partners Ahava Pathways works with. It is a privilege to serve together with other followers of Christ!
